In Maine, state overtime laws dictate that all non-exempt employees who work more than a 40-hour work week must be paid 1.5 times their normal hourly rate (“time-and-a-half”) for every hour of overtime they work. The current minimum wage for workers in Maine is $7.50 an hour, which means that the minimum rate of pay for overtime hours is $11.25 per hour.
